How do I know what size to pick?
Miniature Pricing Guide
We categorize miniatures into three sizes: Regular, Medium, and Large, based on their base size, dimensions, and complexity. Below is a simple guide to help you choose the right category for your model:
Regular Miniatures
- Base Size: Up to 32mm
- Examples: Standard humanoid characters, small creatures (e.g., goblins, halflings, humans).
- Max Dimensions: Fits comfortably within a 50mm cube. There's some nuance here. For example, If all parts of the mini fit within a 50mm cube apart from a tiny thing like a sword or axe. Don't worry that's fine.
- Ideal for: Most player characters or small enemies.
Medium Miniatures
- Base Size: 40mm to 50mm
- Examples: Larger humanoids (e.g., orcs, trolls), medium-sized creatures, and minis with moderate accessories like backpacks or shields.
- Max Dimensions: Fits comfortably within a 75mm cube.
- Ideal for: Bosses or detailed figures that are larger than standard player characters.
Large Miniatures
- Base Size: 60mm to 100mm
- Examples: Mounted figures, winged creatures, dragons, or large monsters.
- Max Dimensions: Fits comfortably within 200mm x 123mm x 210mm (Saturn 4 Ultra's max print area).
- Ideal for: Epic creatures, dioramas, or centerpiece figures.
Special Considerations
- Wings or Accessories: If your model has large wings, weapons, or other protrusions, consider the overall dimensions when choosing the size category.
- Multi-Part Models: If your figure includes multiple parts, it may fall into a higher category due to increased size and complexity. While you can purchase these as individual models, we'd recommend getting a custom quote from us using the 'Get a Quote' page.

How long will it take for me to get my minis?
The time needed to print your order depends on the size and complexity of your order.

You should expect to have your mini within a week. However if you have a large or custom order, then the processing may take a little longer.
We will contact you and let you know in these instances.
Do you do customisations?
Can you resize my model for me?

Do you offer custom modeling or design services?
No, we do not offer any bespoke modelling services currently.
Why should I prime my minis?
Priming your miniature is an important step that prepares the surface for painting. Here’s why it’s a good idea:
- Better Paint Adhesion: Primer creates a slightly textured surface, making paint stick better and reducing the risk of peeling or chipping.
- Smooth Base Coat: It evens out the surface, covering any imperfections and ensuring an even paint application.
- Enhances Paint Colors: Primer helps the paint show its true color by providing a neutral or contrasting base.
What Primer Color Should I Choose?
The primer color you choose can affect the final look of your miniature. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide:
Grey Primer (Neutral Base):
Best for: Most painting styles, as it doesn’t overly darken or brighten colors.
Why: It provides a balanced starting point, making it easier to judge how your colors will appear.
White Primer (Bright Base):
Best for: Bright or vibrant paint schemes, like cheerful heroes or colorful monsters.
Why: White makes colors appear more vivid and is ideal for lighter tones.
Black Primer (Dark Base):
Best for: Darker or muted paint schemes, such as grimdark styles or shadowy figures.
Why: Black helps create natural shadows, which can reduce the need for additional shading.
No Primer:
Best for: Experienced painters who prefer to apply their own primer or want to skip priming entirely.
Why: Be aware that skipping primer can make painting more challenging, as resin surfaces may not hold paint as well.
Pro Tip:
If you’re unsure, grey primer is a versatile choice for most miniatures. However, for very detailed minis, black primer can make shadows pop, while white is great for emphasizing fine details.
Can I send you any file to print?
No, not all 3D files are legal to print, even if they’re sent to us directly. Here’s a breakdown to help you understand what is okay and what isn’t:
What is okay to send?
- Files you own the rights to: If you’ve created the 3D file yourself or purchased it from a licensed creator, you can send it for printing.
- Licensed or public domain files: Files that are freely available under a proper license (e.g., Creative Commons or Public Domain) or have been sold with a commercial use license are fine. Ensure the license explicitly permits third-party printing.
- Commissioned designs: If you’ve paid someone to create a custom 3D model for you, check that the terms of your agreement grant you permission to have it printed by a third party.
What is not okay to send?
- Files without proper rights: Files downloaded from the internet or shared by someone else without proof of ownership or licensing cannot be legally printed.
- Copyrighted or trademarked designs: Files depicting characters, logos, or other intellectual property (e.g., from movies, games, or brands) are not allowed unless you have written permission from the copyright or trademark holder.
- Pirated or ripped models: This includes 3D files extracted from games, movies, or other digital media without authorization.
We reserve the right to decline any print request if we suspect the file violates intellectual property laws. If you’re unsure about a file, feel free to reach out for clarification.
What materials do you use to print?
We use high quality resin for all of our products. For tabletop miniatures we use a mix of standard and ABS-Like resin in dark grey (75% ABS-like and 25% standard resin)
ABS-like resin is ideal for more durable prints, offering increased strength and flexibility for minis or parts that need extra resilience.
We print in 12K stunning detail with 0.05mm layer height.
If you require a different print settings, then please create a custom order using our 'Get a Quote' page.
Why not just print my physical miniatures directly from the source? e.g Hero Forge, Eldritch Foundry
Good question! Because we are cheaper, faster and amazing quality that's why!
While some people simply choose to do the whole process through Hero Forge, Cults 3D etc. It does have it's cons.
Firstly, once you factor in shipping, the cost tends to go right up. They also do not offer a multi-buy discount when ordering more than one mini.
Secondly, once you have ordered your mini, it can take a few weeks or more to arrive.
Our processing time is between 1-3 days. On top of that we print in 12K stunning detail, using high quality resin.
And most of all, we guarantee they will look awesome!
What should I do to ensure my minis look awesome?
However you want to design and kit out your hero... that's the best way!
However, if you want to ensure a miniature that reads well on the table, as well as lasting longer. Then maybe you can consider these few tips:
On some services there's an option to optimise your model for 3D printing. Be sure to check that box.
While it thickens up the model, it is well worth doing. It prints well, and will be more durable in the long run.
Don't be tempted to scale your miniature to the max unless it makes sense to do so. A dwarf that matches up in size to an orc barbarian can potentially look a bit comical.
Try not to over-stack your hero with weapons and equipment. While you may want show off every weapon and scroll in it's possession. It can become a bit busy to the eye, more difficult to paint and the silhouette may not read as well on the table. Not to mention all the extra pointy bits that are easy to break!
Something else to consider with this, is we have to add a lot of supports to the model when prepping for print. Complicated models mean more chance for imperfections and print failures. Meaning there is a chance your miniature experiences a delay in getting to you. We strive for perfection before we send them off.
Regardless, we accept any mini in any which way you decide to make it. This is just an optional guideline :)
